Stay and Play

Forest School and Outdoor Learning

Share in the wonder of nature with your children through the seasons as they…hunt for mini-beasts; make something in our creative corner; learn new vocabulary; get messy in the mud kitchen; build core muscles and coordination whilst climbing trees, clambering over logs and building dens.

Come prepared for the changeability of the Great British Weather – sturdy shoes/boots and clothing that cover arms and legs are essential. We do have canopies for shelter but are essentially open to the elements, so bring lots of layers and waterproofs to help you stay warm and dry. A change of clothes is always advisable for the children. Be prepared for them to get messy – it’s all part of the fun!

Bring a snack and a drink, or your own mugs so you can use our hot water flasks to make teas/coffees/hot chocolates. Bring your own picnic rug too so you can find a cosy space to relax with your drink.

Who’s it for: Stay and Play for parents/grandparents/childminders/carers with toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Stay and Play is also a great opportunity for children who will be joining our EHE groups to get used to the setting with the company of their parents and carers.
